FAQ
before you apply
Do I need music experience?
None at all. Many of our students had never written a song before they enrolled. Some are total beginners and don't know any instruments. Our programmes are built to take you from wherever you are - not wherever you wish you were.
Is this only for Asian Pop?
No. The skills we teach - writing, producing, releasing, building an audience - work for any genre. We specialise in the Asian market because that's where opportunity is growing fastest, but our students work across pop, R&B, electronic, and sync. If you want to make music with intent, this is for you.
What are the entry requirements?
For the Certificate in Music (CMUS), you'll need to have completed secondary school (Year 10 or equivalent) with English as the medium of instruction - or an IELTS 4.0 equivalent. If you're 30+ with 8 years of work experience, there's an alternative entry pathway. Reach out and we'll work through it with you.
Are classes live or pre-recorded?
100% live. Every session is taught in real time - you interact, ask questions, and get feedback directly from your instructor. We don't use pre-recorded content.
fees & payment
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. We offer interest-free termly and yearly instalment options. Indicate your preference when applying and we'll lay out a full payment plan in your student contract. Payment by bank transfer, Mastercard, or Visa.
Are there hidden fees?
No hidden costs. Tuition covers all lessons, learning materials, and feedback. There's a mandatory 1% Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) fee on top - this is a Singapore regulatory requirement that protects your tuition fees, not a charge that benefits us. You should buffer approximately SGD 500 to purchase personal music equipment.
after you graduate
What happens after I finish?
You'll leave with original releases, a professional-grade portfolio, industry connections, and a recognised qualification. Many alumni continue to release music, pitch songs to publishers, or progress into degree programmes at universities (for the DMUS).
Do you offer scholarships?
Yes, but places are limited. We offer a small number of merit-based scholarships for applicants with clear talent and intent. We also offer market-based grants for students from Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and other emerging markets. Reach out directly to discuss.
Next intake commences June 2026. Apply by 25 May to secure 20% off.
